College of Business and Management Dean's Annual Scholarship
Established by Dr. Robert Fleischman, Dean of the ESU College of Business and Management, recipients may be enrolled in any major within the College of Business and Management.  Recipients may be part-time or full-time students who are undergraduate or graduate students.  Recipients must be in good academic and social standing.  Selected by the Dean of the College of Business and Management.

Business Management

Burke and Schaller Business Annual Scholarship
Established by Melissa Burke and Laurie Schaller '10, recipients must be majoring in Economics or Business Management with a concentration in Accounting.  Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who have completed at least two classes in accounting or economics, depending on their major.  Selected by the Dean of the College of Business and Management.

Dr. Robert Fleischman Annual Scholarship
Established by Dr. Robert Fleischman, Dean of ESU College of Business and Management, recipients must be majoring in Business Management or Sport Management.  Recipients must be member of the ESU Men's Basketball Team and may be full-time or part-time, undergraduate or graduate students.  Additionally, recipients must be in good academic and social standing and be eligible to participate in the sport.  Selected by the ESU men's basketball head coach.

Giant Floor and Wallcovering Company Annual Scholarship
Established by Giant Floor and Wallcovering Company, recipients must be majoring in Business Management.  Recipients must have taken or currently be taking a class on entrepreneurship.  Additionally, recipients must be Monroe County, Pa. residents with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who has completed at least 60 credits.  Selected by the ESU Business Management Scholarship  Committee.



Digital Media Technologies

Julianna V. Bolt Endowed Scholarship

Established in honor of Julianna V. Bolt, recipients must be majoring in Media Communications and Technology. Recipients must have completed at least 60 credits with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Additionally, recipients must be full-time students with documented financial need as determined by FAFSA. Selected by the ESU Media Communications and Technology Department Scholarship Committee.

David S. Campbell Annual Scholarship 

Established by Professor David S. Campbell, recipients must be majors in Media, Communication and Technology. May be full-time or part-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 12 credits in the major at ESU with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the major. Selected by the ESU Media, Communication and Technology Scholarship Committee.

Media Communications Endowed Scholarship

Established by members of the ESU Media Communications Department, recipients must be majoring in Media, Communication and Technology. Students must be freshmen who have completed at least six credits in department courses and have the highest GPA in the major with the overall GPA being the second criteria. Selected by the ESU Media, Communications and Technology Scholarship Committee.

Christine L. Reilly ’77 Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Christine L. Reilly ’77, recipients must be majoring in Media, Communication and Technology. Students must be juniors or seniors with at least 30 credits at ESU, 15 credits must be in the major field of study, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the major. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Selected by the ESU Media, Communication and Technology Scholarship Committee.

Dr. Ernest E. Rydell Endowed Scholarship

Established by the Board of Directors of the ESU Foundation on July 19, 2000 in honor of Dr. Ernest E. Rydell who served as Executive Director of the Foundation from 1991 to 2000, recipients must be majoring in Media, Communication and Technology. Students must have completed at least 90 credits by the end of the spring semester, with at least 30 of those credits completed at ESU, and have a minimum GPA of 2.75 at time of selection. Selected by the ESU Media, Communication and Technology Scholarship Committee.



Economics

Burke and Schaller Business Annual Scholarship
Established by Melissa Burke and Laurie Schaller '10, recipients must be majoring in Economics or Business Management with a concentration in Accounting.  Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who have completed at least two classes in accounting or economics, depending on their major.  Selected by the Dean of the College of Business and Management.


Constantinos Christofides Economics Annual Scholarship

Established in the name of Constantinos Christofides, Distinguished Professor of Economics, recipients must be majoring in Economics. Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, as well as, a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the major. Additionally, recipients must have completed at least 60 credits with at least 15 credits in Economics classes. Preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Selected by the ESU Economics Department Scholarship Committee.


Roger DeLarco ’80 Economic Research Endowed Award

Established by Roger L. DeLarco ’80, recipients must be majoring in Economics.  Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students who have completed at least 60 credits.  Preference will be given to students who perform outstanding service in the publishing, editing or processing of E-News, the quarterly newsletter.  Selected by the ESU Economic Department Scholarship Committee.

Kenneth and Charlotte Starner Endowed Scholarship
Established in the names of Kenneth and Charlotte Starner, recipients may be majoring in Economics or Management.  Recipients must be full-time students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential.  Additionally, recipients must have completed at least 62 credits with at least 48 of those credits completed at ESU with 8 of those courses having an EMGT or ECON rubric.  A minimum GPA of 3.25 is required.  Financial need is not required but may be a consideration.  Selected by the ESU Economics Department Scholarship Committee.



Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management                                        

Bushkill Group Annual Scholarship
Established by the Bushkill Group, recipients must be majoring in Recreation and Leisure Services Management with a concentration in Commercial Recreation.  Recipients must have completed at least 62 credits with 9 credits completed in the major with a minimum overall GPA of 2.75.  Selected by the supervisor of the commercial recreation concentration in the ESU Recreation and Leisure Services Manage
ment Department.

Camelback Ski Corp. Endowed Scholarship

Established by the Camelback Ski Corporation, recipients must be majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  May be either full-time or part-time undergraduate students with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.  Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee.

Distinguished Order of Zerocrats Annual Scholarship
Available for Fall 2016 in the amount of $1,000 (click here to apply)

Established by the Distinguished Order of Zerocrats, recipients must be majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Students must have completed at least 60 credits and demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum overall GPA of 2.8 and a 3.0 GPA in their major. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee.


Enterprise Rent-A-Car Annual Scholarship

Established by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, recipients must be majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Recipients must have completed at least 60 credits and be full time students with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required. Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee.


Jack Jones Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Dr. John H. "Jack" Jones, a professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services Management from 1978 to 1988.  Dr. Jones was instrumental in the establishment and early development of the Bachelor of Science degree program in Recreation at ESU and served as the department’s first chair.  Recipients must be majoring in Recreation Services Management and have completed at least 62 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.75 overall and in the major.  Selected by the ESU Recreation Advisory Council Scholarship Committee.


James T. Kassel, Jr. '86  Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of James T. Kassel, Jr. ’86, recipients must have formally declared their major field of study in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  Students must have completed at least 60 credits with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and GPA of 3.25 in their major.  Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee.


Colin Brett Orodenker Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established by Hedy, Jerry and Jamie Orodenker, in memory of Colin Brett Orodenker, recipients must be majors in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  Students must have completed a minimum of 30 credits, have a documented learning disability and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.  Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee with assistance from the Disability Services Department.

Colin Brett Orodenker Memorial Annual Scholarship
Established by Hedy, Jerry and Jamie Orodenker, in memory of Colin Brett Orodenker, recipients must be majors in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Students must have completed a minimum of 30 credits, have a documented learning disability and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0. Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee with assistance from the Disability Services Department.

Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau Annual Scholarship for Recreation
Established by the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, recipients must be majoring in Recreation and Leisure Services Management.  Students must be enrolled full-time and have completed at least 62 credits at ESU with a minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and in their major.  Must have a minimum of nine credits in their major and demonstrate leadership qualities and involvement in commercial recreation/tourism industry activities.  Selected by the ESU Recreation and Leisure Services Management Scholarship Committee.


Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau Bob Ugucconi Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of Bob Ugucconi by the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau and friends of Bob Ugucconi, recipients must be majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students who have completed at least 15 credits at ESU with a minimum 2.8 overall GPA and minimum 3.0 GPA in the major.  Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee.

Skytop Resort Endowed Scholarship

Established by Skytop Resort, recipients must be majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  Students must have completed at least 60 credits with a minimum overall GPA of 2.8 and 3.0 in the major.  Selected by the ESU Scholarship Committee.


Edmund A. Strickland Endowed Book Award
Established by Edmund A. Strickland, recipients must be majors in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  Students must be full-time undergraduates who have completed a minimum of 60 credits at ESU with at least a GPA of 2.8 overall and in their major.  Selected by the ESU Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Committee.


Sport Management

Mary Sue '60 M'69 and Louis Balducci Annual Scholarship

Established by Mary Sue '60 M'69 and Louis Balducci, recipients must be enrolled as a graduate student in the Exercise Science or Sports Management program.  Recipients must have a minimum of six credits earned at ESU and two years of work experience in a related field.  Preference will be given to students not in the graduate assistantship program.  Applicants must submit an academic resume of their achievements throughout their college career.  Preference will be given to students whose academic resume is accompanied by a letter of recommendation by an ESU faculty or staff member.  Selected by the Graduate Advisory Council.


Dr. Robert Fleischman Annual Scholarship
Established by Dr. Robert Fleischman, Dean of ESU College of Business and Management, recipients must be majoring in Business Management or Sport Management.  Recipients must be member of the ESU Men's Basketball Team and may be full-time or part-time, undergraduate or graduate students.  Additionally, recipients must be in good academic and social standing and be eligible to participate in the sport.  Selected by the ESU men's basketball head coach.


Dr. Frank Michael Pullo and Mrs. Nancy Auker Pullo Sport Management Annual Scholarship
Established by Dr. Frank Michael Pullo and Mrs. Nancy Auker Pullo, recipients must be majoring in Sport Management. Candidates must be enrolled in SMGT 486 Internship for the semester in which the scholarship is awarded. Recipients will be the male and female students with the highest combined GPA (major and overall) who have completed a minimum of 90 percent of their credits at ESU. Selected by the ESU Sport Management Scholarship Committee.
