The ESU Office of Admissions staff reviews all accepted students for scholarship opportunities, therefore, incoming freshmen need not complete an application for the scholarships listed on this page.

Freshmen/Transfer Scholarships

125th Celebration Endowed Scholarship
Established with the proceeds of East Stroudsburg University's 125th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major.  Financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required.  The scholarship is renewable as long as all scholarship criteria are met and students remain in good academic and social standing. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Lester G. ’39 and Clementine G. Abeloff Endowed Scholarship
Established by Lester G. ’39 and Clementine G. Abeloff, recipients must be Mathematics majors that are full-time students that graduated in the top 50% of their high school graduating class. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Alumni Association Diverse Student Annual Scholarship
Established by the ESU Alumni Association, recipients may be any undergraduate major. Must be diverse students enrolled full-time. The scholarship is renewable for up to one additional year providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Alumni Association Freshman Annual Scholarship
Established by the ESU Alumni Association, recipients may be any undergraduate major. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Alumni Association Fun Raiser Annual Scholarship
Established through the Alumni Fun Raiser Golf Tournament, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be full-time students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) who have been active in their high school community. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Alumni Association Transfer Student Annual Scholarship
Established by the ESU Alumni Association, recipients may be any undergraduate major. Recipients must transfer directly to ESU with an Associate Degree from a Pennsylvania state community college. Recipients may be enrolled full-time or part-time and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at community college. The scholarship is renewable for up to one additional year providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

John Arslanian Endowed Scholarship
Established through the estate of John Arslanian, recipients may be any undergraduate major but must meet the current Honors Program admission criteria of graduating in the top 15% of their high school graduating class with a minimum SAT score of 1150 or 25 on the ACT test. This scholarship is renewable for an additional three years provided the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and completes a minimum of 24 credits per academic year and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

George R. Bennyhoff '65 Annual Scholarship
Established by George R. Bennyhoff '65, recipients may be any undergraduate science major. Recipients must be incoming freshmen at East Stroudsburg University majoring in science with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The scholarship is renewable as long as recipients continue to meet the criteria and funding is available. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Biological Science Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987 by Dr. David Wartinbee, gifts have also been made in memory of Bryan H. Knapp and William Eden, former ESU biology professors. Recipients must be Biological Sciences majors who have graduated in the top 15 percent of their high school class and preferably have a minimum SAT score of 1000. Additional consider will be given based upon student activities in high school, extracurricular activities, awards and honors received, recommendations, advanced honors courses and overall academic record. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Thomas S. and Mae S. Brinton Endowed Scholarship
Established through a trust by Thomas S. Brinton and Mae S. Brinton, recipients may be any undergraduate major. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the end of each academic year. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Bettie Brooks '45 Endowed Scholarship
Established by Bettie Brooks '45, recipients must be majoring in History. Recipients may be full-time or part-time students who are incoming freshmen or transfer students to ESU. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Dr. Frederick S. Brown ’32 and Mrs. Marion Pelton Brown ’31 Endowed Scholarship
Established through the estate of Marion Pelton Brown ’31, recipients may be any undergraduate or graduate major with preference given to students majoring in Education. Recipients must be in the top 50% of their high school graduating class and must be graduates from the White Mills, Hawley or Honesdale area of Pennsylvania. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.75 in the declared major and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients must be an incoming freshmen or transfer student. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Class of 1962 Annual Scholarship
Established by members of the Class of 1962, recipients may be any undergraduate major who is enrolled full-time. Recipients must be an incoming freshmen or transfer student. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Class of 1962 Endowed Scholarship
Established by members of the Class of 1962, recipients may be any undergraduate major who is enrolled full-time. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Class of 1976 Endowed Scholarship
Established by members of the Class of 1976, recipients may be any undergraduate major who have graduated in the top third of their high school graduating class. Preference will be given to students that indicate on admissions application that a family member was from the ESU Class of 1976. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to be enrolled and is in good academic and social standing. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Darell and Cindy Kille-Covington Endowed Scholarship
Established by Darell and Cindy Covington, recipients may be any undergraduate major who have graduated in the top 50 percent of their high school graduating class with preference given to students of color and first generation college students. Recipients must be full-time ESU students and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2. 5 with full-time enrollment. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Brenda G. Deihl ’78 Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Brenda G. Deihl ’78, recipients must be Elementary Education Teacher Certification majors who have graduated from Stroudsburg High School and are full-time students at ESU. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Dillman/Morris Annual Scholarship
Established in honor of the family of Dr. Robert Dillman and Mrs. Roseann Morris Dillman, recipients may be any undergraduate major who have graduated in the top 50 percent of their high school graduating class. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2. 75 with full-time enrollment. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Dillman/Morris Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of the family of Dr. Robert Dillman and Mrs. Roseann Morris Dillman, recipients may be any undergraduate major who have graduated in the top 50 percent of their high school graduating class. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2. 75 with full-time enrollment. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Paul L. Edinger, Jr. Endowed Scholarship
Established by Ann Edinger, recipients must be the most highly qualified incoming freshman majoring in Psychology, Elementary Education, Nursing, and/or Physics/Engineering. Recipients must be ranked in the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 with completion of at least 24 credits per academic year. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Edwards Family Endowed Scholarship in Secondary Education
Established by Robert C. Edwards ’55, recipients may be any undergraduate major leading to Secondary Education Teacher Certification. Recipients must be incoming freshmen, enrolled full-time at ESU. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Karen El-Chaar ’79 Language Endowed Scholarship
Established by Karen El-Chaar ’79, recipients may be any undergraduate major that has graduated from Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Recipients must be full-time students. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

ESSA Bank & Trust Foundation Annual Scholarship
Established by the Trustees of the ESSA Bank & Trust Foundation, recipients may be any undergraduate major who have graduated from high schools and reside in the following Pennsylvania counties: Monroe County, Northampton County, or Lehigh. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU part-time or full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

ESU Broadcasting Annual Scholarship
Established by ESU Distinguished Professor Dr. Robert McKenzie, recipients must be majoring in Communication Studies and have selected the Broadcasting concentration. Recipients must be incoming transfer students from a community college with a minimum GPA of 2.5 at the community college. Preference will be given to students who are the first member of their immediate family (grandparents, father, mother, sisters and brothers) to go to college. Additionally, preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Richard J. Farmer ’85 Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Richard J. Farmer ’85, recipients must be Communications majors who have graduated in the top 50 percent of their high school class. Preference will be given to students who are enrolled in history or political science courses beyond the graduation requirement. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0, is enrolled full-time and takes a history or political science course each year and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients may be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Mona and Frank N. Fitzgerald Art Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Frank and Mona Fitzgerald, recipients must be Art majors or minors graduating from a high school in Monroe County, Pa. Recipients must be enrolled full-time. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Future Educator Annual Scholarship
Established by Louise Solliday '74, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major with preference given to Education majors.  Recipients must be incoming freshman to East Stroudsburg University in good academic and social standing.  Additionally, preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to meet these criteria and funding is available.  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.
 
Allen Greene Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of Allen Greene, recipients may be any undergraduate major enrolled in ESU either full-time or part-time. Recipients must be native United States citizens. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Connie Gruber Memorial Annual Scholarship
Established in memory of Connie Gruber by her husband, Jerry A. Gruber '69, recipients must be undergraduate students majoring in science with preference given to those pursuing a career in astronomy.  Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students.  The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman but is renewable as long as the recipient is in good academic and social standing and the scholarship is available.  Preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.
 
Richard and Claire Hahn Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Richard and Claire Hahn, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must have graduated in the top 15 percent of their high school class with a total SAT score of 1050. Preference will be given to students whose father is deceased. Students must have graduated from a Northampton County, Pa high school with preference given to the following Northampton County, Pa high schools: Easton, Notre Dame (Green Pond), or Wilson. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and continues to demonstrate financial need. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is required. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Mary A. Henning '45 Memorial Annual Scholarship
Established in memory of Mary A. Henning '45, recipients must be majoring in Education. Recipients must be full-time students with the first preference given to incoming freshmen graduated from Stroudsburg High School and second preference given to students from Monroe County, Pa. The scholarship is renewable as long as funding is available and the recipient is in good academic and social standing. Selected by the ESU Dean of the College of Education in conjunction with the Director of Admissions.

Warren Hoeffner ’55 Endowed Scholarship
Established by Warren ’55 and Sandra Hoeffner, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Hughes Foundation Annual Scholarship
Established by the Hughes Foundation, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be graduates of a Monroe County, Pa high school with demonstrated academic achievement, co-curricular activities and good citizenship. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Mary Walsh Krahe ’25 Endowed Scholarship
Established by Mary Walse Krahe ’25, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be graduates of a Lackawanna County high school. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Dr. Hamilton H.T. Lee and Mrs. Jean C. Lee Endowed Scholarship
Established by Dr. Hamilton H.T. Lee and Mrs. Jean C. Lee, recipients must be Communication majors who are full-time students. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 2.75. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Harry and Jeannie Lee Endowed Scholarship
Established by Harry and Jeannie Lee, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be African American students who have graduated in the top 50 percent of their high school class. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Thomas & Jean Lobb Academic Endowed Scholarship
Established by Jean Lobb ’74, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be incoming freshmen who graduated from any Northampton County, Pa., high school in the top 50 percent of their graduating class. Additionally, recipients must be full-time students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The scholarship is renewable if the recipient continues to meet the criteria and maintains at least a 2.5 GPA. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Jonas T. May Math Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Jonas T. May, recipients must be Mathematics majors. Recipients will be chosen based upon their SAT scores, high school class rank and performance in high school mathematics courses. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office

Josephine Madara McArthur Freshman Endowed Scholarship
Established through the estate of Josephine Madara McArthur, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be full-time students who have graduated in the top 50 percent of their high school class. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Agnes T. McCartney Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Agnes T. McCartney, preference is given to students majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Recipients must be full-time students who graduated from a Carbon County high school in the top 50 percent of their graduating class. The scholarship is renewable providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains at least a 2.75 GPA. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Mike McDonough and Bing McNulty Endowed Scholarship
Established by Bing McNulty ’62 in memory of Mike McDonough '63, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be full-time students with demonstrated financial need as determined by FAFSA. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5 and continues to demonstrate financial need. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Mabel I. Meyers ’25 Endowed Scholarship
Established through the estate of Mabel I. Meyers ’25, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must have graduated in the top 5 percent of their high school class and have a combined SAT score of 1100. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.30 at the end of each academic year. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Millennium Endowed Scholarship
Established through the ESU Millennium Endowed Scholarship Campaign, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Jean and R. Bruce Miller Endowed Scholarship
Established in the names of Jean and R. Bruce Miller, recipients must be incoming freshmen who are graduates of a Monroe County, Pa. high school in good academic and social standing.  Financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required.  The scholarship is renewable provided the recipient continues to be enrolled full-time, remain in good academic and social standing and demonstrate financial need.  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

The William T. Morris Foundation Annual Scholarship
Established by The William T. Morris Foundation, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Financial need as determined by FAFSA is a requirement (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

John Parkinson ESU Mathematics Annual Scholarship
Established by John Parkinson, recipients must be incoming freshman majoring in mathematics.  Financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required.  This scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years provided the recipient continues to meet the criteria, maintains a GPA of at least 3.0 and funding is available.  Recipients graduating in December may receive the full award in the fall semester.  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office. 

Presidential Annual Scholarship
Established in 2003 through the generosity of many, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must have graduated in the top 5 percent of their high school class and have a combined SAT score of 1100. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office Scholarship Committee.

Presidential Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2003 through the generosity of many, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must have graduated in the top 5 percent of their high school class and have a combined SAT score of 1100. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 3.30 at the end of each academic year. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office Scholarship Committee.

Presidents' Leadership Endowed Scholarship
Established on behalf of the East Stroudsburg University Alumni Association Board of Directors to honor the collaboration between ESU leadership and its alumni association, specifically ESU's 13th President, Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D. and Frank E. Johnson '74, ESU Alumni Association Board President effective June 2015, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major.  A new incoming freshman will be selected each year.  This scholarship is meant to support academically qualified students who demonstrate leadership potential; therefore, recipients must provide evidence of school and/or community service.  Recipients must have a high school GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office Scholarship Committee. 

PSECU Non-Traditional Student Annual Scholarship

Established in the name of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU), recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipient must be a new or returning student to East Stroudsburg University, 25 years of age or older, or an honorably discharged veteran. Recipients must be a member of PSECU by the end of December of the year previous to the awarding of the scholarship. Additionally, recipients must intend to complete a degree program. Financial need as demonstrated by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required and recipients must not have educational costs covered by an employee sponsored program. Applicants must submit an essay of 500 words or less on the following topic: "There is much talk about the price of a college education and the amount of debt a student and/or parents will encounter for this education. What value do you expect to get from this expenditure and how do you propose to manage this debt?" Selected by the ESU Admissions Scholarship Committee.

Carole Reilly Endowed Scholarship
Established by the East Stroudsburg University Student Activity Association in the name of Carole Reilly, who nutured the success of many student leaders at ESU throughout her 38 years of employment with the Student Activity Association, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major.  Recipients must be incoming freshmen or transfer students who are enrolled full-time at ESU.  Preference will be given to first generation college students and students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  The scholarship is renewable for up to eight (8) semesters provided that recipients continue to be enrolled full-time and maintain at least a 2.25 GPA.  Selected by the ESU Student Activities Association Scholarship Committee.

Sanofi Pasteur Community Annual Scholarship
Established by Sanofi Pasteur, recipients must be majoring in Biological Sciences or Chemistry and be in their junior year. Recipients must be full-time, undergraduate students with preference given to transfer students from Northampton County Community College or non-traditional students. Transfer students must have a 3.3 GPA from their previous college. Additionally, preference will be given to students from Monroe County. Financial need will be a consideration but not a requirement. The scholarship is renewable for one additional year provided the student is enrolled full-time and maintains a 3.3 GPA. Selected by the ESU Admissions Scholarship Committee.

Arthur '62 and Fannie (Greene) '62 Schisler Athletic Endowed Scholarship
Established by Arthur '62 and Fannie (Greene) '62 Schisler, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must be an incoming freshmen who is a graduate of Northampton High School, Northampton, Pa., graduating in the top 50 percent of their class. Recipients must be members of an ESU intercollegiate athletic team in good academic and social standing who are eligible and participate in the sport, with preference given to members of the football team. Additionally, recipients must be socially and morally upstanding citizens. Preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The scholarship is renewable annually provided the recipients continue to meet all criteria and maintain at least a 2.8 GPA. Selected by the ESU Athletic Director.

Alex and Helen Tweed Staneski Endowed Scholarship
Established by Richard Staneski, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must have graduated from Downingtown High School of Pennsylvania in the top 75 percent of their class. Must be full-time students. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time, maintains a minimum GPA of 2.75. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Eugene E. Stish Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of Eugene E. Stish by Margaret L. Stish, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Must be incoming freshman and full-time students. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 2.75. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

David '80 and Ann Rapoch Super Annual Scholarship
Established by David '80 and Ann Rapoch Super, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major.  Recipients must be incoming freshmen with preference given to students who are the first in their family to attend college.  The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years provided that the recipient remains in good academic and social standing.  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Maureen Mussett Welch Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of Maureen Mussett Welch, an educator for more than 25 years, recipients must be an Education major. Recipients must be from Bucks County, Pa., and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their senior year of high school. Recipients must possess a well-rounded background in academics, athletics and community services and provide two letters of recommendation. Must be enrolled at ESU full-time. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Robert and Amy Schaeffer ’85 Welch Presidential Endowed Scholarship
Established by Robert and Amy Schaeffer ’85 Welch, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must have graduated in the top 5% of their high school class with a minimum combined SAT score of 1100. Must be full-time students. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.30. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D. Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D., 13th president of East Stroudsburg University, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major.  Recipients must be incoming freshmen, female students.  Additionally, recipients must be in good academic and social standing with preference given to first generation college students.  The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to meet all scholarship criteria.  Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

Robert and Marian Willever Endowed Scholarship
Established by Robert Willever ’75 in honor of his parents, Robert and Marian Willever, recipients may be enrolled in any undergraduate major. Recipients must graduate in the top 50 percent of their high school class and be enrolled full-time at ESU. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.

William H. Woods Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established in honor of William H. Woods, recipients must be Business majors. Recipients must be African American male students graduating in the top 40 percent of their high school class. Must be enrolled full-time at ESU. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years providing the recipient is enrolled at ESU full-time and maintains a minimum GPA of 2.70. Recipients must be incoming freshmen. Selected by the ESU Admissions Office.
