Loyalty Society

The Loyalty Society recognizes the generous supporters who prioritize ESU year after year. Our Loyalty Society donors provide resources for ESU to enhance academic offerings, expand athletic facilities, and create opportunities for students. The Loyalty Society celebrates the value of commitment among consistent donors.

The Loyalty Society acknowledges those whose consistent giving for five or more years—in any amount—exemplifies a deep commitment to the success of East Stroudsburg University. Our Loyalty Society supporters represent the backbone of the University, with their dedication driving our many achievements.

FAQ

How do I become a member of the Loyalty Society?
After giving for five consecutive years, donors are recognized at the Loyalty Society’s first level, the Stroud Society. Beginning in 2024, the Young Alumni level will recognize GOLD Alumni for giving two to four consecutive years. GOLD Alumni can remain in the Society with each year’s gifts until they reach the Stroud Society. A lapse in giving will reset your giving history.

Who is considered a GOLD Alumnus/Alumna?
Gold Alumni are alumni who have graduated in the last decade. GOLD Alumni are acknowledged at the Young Alumni level with just two consecutive years of gifts versus the typical five years of giving history for general alumni and friends of ESU.

What is the minimum annual gift to be in the Loyalty Society?
There is no giving threshold for this Society. We prefer to focus on your continued support at any level. Donors will remain in the Society each year they make a gift. The consistency of our Loyalty Society donors transforms students’ lives each year.

How does one ensure they remain recognized in the Loyalty Society?
Simply make your annual gift each fiscal year to remain in the Society. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. A lapse in giving will restart your consecutive giving history.

Do you offer a buyback program for missed years of giving?
No, the ESU Foundation does not participate in a buyback program. A lapse in giving will reset your giving history.

How are my years of loyalty calculated?
Giving history is based on the Foundation’s fiscal year, which runs July 1 – June 30. Your loyalty giving count is calculated based on the prior fiscal year.

How will I remember to make my gift?
Each year, we send appeal letters to our past supporters and alumni. Simply respond with your gift using the reply envelope included, and you will remain in the giving Society. You can respond to any of the appeals by mail or donate online using our secure website here.

Can I make my gift now?

What giving levels are recognized?
Giving levels are acknowledged at two years for Young Alumni and 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25+ years.

How will I know the Loyalty Society level I am in?
Donors will be recognized when they reach a new level of the Loyalty Society. With continued support, you will move up to the next level. Donors who move up a level will receive a letter noting their progression that year.
