ESU Track Campaign Background

Campaign to renew ESU's
Indoor and Outdoor Tracks

A Place Where Champions Begin

The ESU Foundation and the Department of Athletics have launched a bold, transformative campaign to renovate and resurface the indoor and outdoor tracks - an investment in our athletes, our program, and our future. This isn’t just a facility upgrade. It’s a commitment to excellence, safety, community, and legacy.

We are seeking to raise $1.1 million to bring this vision to life. Your support will help build a legacy that serves not only today’s athletes - but generations to come.

A PLACE WHERE CHAMPIONS BEGIN

Every day, ESU’s indoor and outdoor tracks come alive with athletes working hard - early in the morning, late into the evening, in the heat of the day, and the cold of winter - training, improving, and striving toward their goals. For decades, both tracks have been the foundation of stories built on determination, growth, and greatness.

Now, it’s time for the next chapter.

The renovation of ESU’s Indoor and Outdoor Tracks will deliver NCAA-certified, high-performance surfaces indoors and out - ensuring safer, faster, and more competitive training environments.

Outdoor Track Renovation

  • Brand-new NCAA-compliant track surface
  • Fully restored lane markings
  • Upgraded drainage systems
  • Enhanced safety features

Field Event Upgrades

  • A new pole vault box
  • Rebuilt sand pit for long and triple jump
  • New high jump pit
  • Upgraded hammer throw cage
  • Resurfaced javelin throwing area

Indoor Track Revitalization

  • Smooth, even, high-performance surface
  • Improved markings and safety zones
  • Optimized conditions for year-round training and competition

WHY IT MATTERS

Both tracks have served student-athletes well, but time, weather, and relentless use have taken their toll:

  • Uneven surfaces
  • Drainage issues causing ponding
  • Faded markings that hinder performance
  • Old and unsafe equipment

These problems affect more than training. They impact:

  • Athlete safety
  • Recruiting top talent
  • Hosting NCAA-level competition

JOIN US ON THE JOURNEY

Your support will help build a legacy that serves not only today’s athletes - but generations to come. Whether you're an alumnus, a parent, a coach, or a champion of student success - this is your moment to make a difference.
