The scholarships I’ve been fortunate to receive have truly transformed my educational journey at ESU. First and foremost, they have provided a vital release from the financial pressures often accompanying higher education. This relief has allowed me to focus on my studies, excel in my athletics campaign, and engage actively in the vibrant ESU community. The scholarships’ financial support has been the cornerstone that enables me to pursue a well-rounded and immersive college experience.
These scholarships have opened a gateway to a realm of opportunities that I might not have otherwise accessed. Connecting with esteemed professors and accomplished peers within my field has been an eye-opening experience. These connections have expanded my horizons, enriched my understanding, and motivated me to push the boundaries of my academic pursuits. The exposure to diverse perspectives and insights has been invaluable in shaping my educational path.
Equally significant, the recognition accompanying these scholarships has ignited a relentless sense of pride and determination within me. Acknowledging my hard work and dedication is a constant reminder of the heights I can achieve.
In essence, these scholarships have gone beyond financial support—they have catalyzed personal and academic growth. They have empowered me to embrace every aspect of my journey, fostering a profound impact that reaches far beyond the classroom.

The scholarship I received has had a great impact on my success at East Stroudsburg University. Not only does it help cover the cost of college, but it gives me the confidence to continue doing what I do here. Being selected for a scholarship shows me that I’m doing great things during my education and that I’m being recognized for it. I was happy to receive the Charles T. ‘84 M’86 and Teresa M. Taylor Endowed Scholarship in 2021 and 2022, and I have pushed myself to do as well as I can to not let the scholarship donors down.
I have maintained Dean’s List for all my semesters here, I ran for president of the Computer Science Organization in 2022 and won, and I continue to learn as much as I can from my classes to ensure I succeed in the world beyond ESU.
Leading my club gave me a chance to help students in my major and make connections that will last after we all graduate. If I didn’t have the confidence or motivation, I would have never pushed myself to run for president. I believe that scholarships are the reason why I have this confidence and motivation, in addition to having less to pay in loans when I move on to my career.

The scholarship has allowed me to stay independent and continue to pursue my passion in teaching. As a graduate student I am living on my own with bills and responsibilities that I did not have as an undergraduate.
This scholarship has taken some weight off my shoulders for those responsibilities and allowed me to focus more on student teaching and learning to become the best educator I can be. The scholarship also reminds me that I am on the right path and it’s never too late to go back to school and learn something new.
